Liberty Temple Ministries COGIC History 

  In 2003, the Lord gave Elder Melvin Ransom the vision for a church in the Dearing, GA community. Without hesitation, he stepped out on faith, and the work began. After talking to some people in the area, the Lord allowed him to locate a building for worship. We moved into this small storefront in the City of Dearing, GA. Our first service was on February 1, 2004. The Lord met us there, and it was our home of worship for six years.
The Lord gave Elder Ransom the name Liberty Temple Ministries based on the scripture 2nd Corinthians 3:17, “ Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.”

After being in the small storefront for a couple of years, the Lord allowed the church to purchase some acres of land to build a new sanctuary. By faith, the church purchased the property, built the new sanctuary, and November 2010; moved in, and the building was dedicated December 2010.

Presently we have Sunday School classes (Adult, and two children classes); Prayer and Bible Band; Adult Choir; Youth Choir; Men Choir; Contemporary Choir: Evangelism and Outreach Ministry; Young Women Christian Council (YWCC); Purity; Sunshine Band/Cradle Roll Classes; Hospitality, Greeters & Usher Board, Men Ministry; Deacon Board, Single Ministry, MotherBoard, and Vacation Bible School.  In 2017, the Lord blessed once again and allowed the church to addon a new fellowship hall! Our Pastor has a vision for this community, and we are obediently behind him to see it come to pass. Continue to pray for us and pray that souls continue to come in seeking God’s face.
